Hamburg-Mai 2010
Die Entscheidung, mein Foto-Equipment für die kommende Paris-Reise zu modifizieren und die Tatsache, dass das Bestellte am Donnerstag vor Pfingsten eingetroffen war, gab mir erneut die Chance, die Hansestadt zu besuchen.
Zwischen zwei Terminen hatte ich die Möglichkeit, einen der schönsten Elbuferabschnitte zu besuchen, die Elbuferpromenade Neumühlen zwischen dem Fischmarkt in Altona und dem Museumshafen Övelgönne.
Hier findet sich eine Konzentration moderner Architektur an Orten mit den Namen Elbberg, Elbberg-Campus oder Dockland. Meistens sind es Bürogebäude, aber es gibt auch ein großes Wohnhaus und mehrere Bars und Restaurants. Christian Rach ist mit seinem „Tafelhaus“ hierher gezogen und auch das „Indochine“ residiert hier. Großzügig angelegte breite Treppen mit eingelassenen Sitzmöglichkeiten führen zur Elbe herunter. Hier sonnten sich bei dem herrlichen Wetter die Mitarbeiter der dort ansässigen Firmen, Anwohner führten ihre Hunde spazieren und es fand ein Foto-Shooting für einen Energy-Drink statt. Sehr coole Typen, so dass man von mindestens 100 % O2 in dem Getränk ausgehen darf.

Danach fuhr ich noch in Richtung Speicherstadt, um mir ein Bild vom Fortschritt der Hafen-City zu machen. Sie wächst rasant, auch die Infrastruktur. Es gibt Schulen und eine Anbindung ans öffentliche Verkehrsnetz. Trotz aller gegenteiligen Bemühungen wirkt das Ganze auf mich ziemlich steril.
Unterschiedliche architektonische Stile-zum Teil in Anlehnung an die alte Speicherstadt-, Ruheoasen und natürlich die Elbe sollen das bevorzugte Wohngefühl vermitteln, die Preise tun das sowieso.
Dennoch wird man das Gefühl nicht los, kaserniert zu sein. Ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit eine zum Kauf stehende Wohnung Am Sandtorkai angesehen. Die exclusive Ausstattung besticht, aber vor dem ca. 1,20 m breitem Laufsteg, den man als Balkon nutzen soll, befindet sich eine weitere, durchgehende Glaswand mit Schiebefenstern, des Windes wegen. Man kommt sich schon ein wenig eingesperrt vor. Aber, mal abwarten, wie sich dieser noch sehr junge Stadtteil entwickelt.
Ich war jedenfalls abends im „Rexrodt“ im Papenhuder Weg in Alsternähe froh über etwas altmodische Architektur in der Umgebung und noch altmodischere, wunderschöne Innenarchitektur des Restaurants. Das „ Rexrodt“ befindet sich in den ehemaligen Räumen einer Fleischerei aus dem Jahre 1896. Mit seinen orginalen grün-weißen Jugendstilkacheln und seiner gläsernen Jugendstildecke ist es einzigartig in Hamburg.
Vor Allem begeistert das erstklassige Essen, zubereitet und serviert von einem jungem engagierten Team. Knackige Frühlingssalate an einem wunderbar abgestimmten Honig-Balsamico-Dressing mit rosa gebratenen Streifen von der Entenbrust und rosa Pfeffer waren ein perfektes Entre, es folgte ein Carrée vom Iberico-Schwein mit einer Kruste von Tomaten, Cranberry und Mandeln auf Jus von jungem Knoblauch an einem Rauke-Risotto.Dazu einen Albet i Noya, Lignum ,2007, Penedes, empfohlen vom kundigen Service!
Nicht lange überreden mußte man mich zu dem krönenden Abschluß mit einem warmen Topfenknödel auf Vanille-Rhabarber-Confit an einem Parfait von gerösteten Pinienkernen.Dazu wurde mir ein sehr schöner, nicht zu süßer, Ochoa, 2007, Moscatel Navarra empfohlen. Jederzeit wieder!
