Der Canal Saint Martin erstreckt sich über 4,6 Kilometer und verbindet das Bassin von La Vilette mit der Seine.
Er verläuft zum Teil unterirdisch, hat 9 Schleusen und eine Hebebrücke. Er hat 5 Verkehrsbrücken und 5 Fußgängerbrücken, davon sind 3 Drehbrücken. In der letzten Zeit „geht man wieder zum Kanal“, die Lokale an seinen Ufern sind wieder „branche“ ( also voll angesagt).
4 Km vom Hotel bis zum Kanal, 4,5 Km den Kanal hinauf und 4,5 Km wieder herunter. Anschließend zurück zum Hotel. Nicht ganz wenig mit der ganzen Ausrüstung, aber meine Hoffnung auf ein Taxi erfüllte sich in beiden Fällen nicht, sie fuhren alle gerade irgendwo anders entlang. Nach einem ausgefüllten Tag ging es noch einmal ins “ Tartine“. Später mehr!
